Swiss-based group PrivatAir has appointed two new senior figures at its German affiliate PrivatAir GmbH in Düsseldorf. This move aims to reinforce the group’s local management team and its presence on the German market.

Detlef Schroeder has been appointed ground operations manager. He is a graduate of business administration from Düsseldorf University with over 20 years experience in ground handling and air traffic control.

Peter Kotysch has been appointed head of training. He has previously worked as a PrivatAir Airbus A319 Captain. Before joining the company, he worked as a pilot with Eurowings and as a flight instructor for Lufthansa. He has gained 21 years of flying experience during his career.

Chief executive officer of the PrivatAir group, Greg Thomas, said: “These appointments will significantly increase the autonomy of our German operation and allow us to serve our two major shuttle clients, Lufthansa and Airbus, in the most efficient way. We also plan to develop other PrivatAir product lines – such as aircraft management – in Germany, and further appointments can be expected in the near future.”
