A Premier I recently flew across the US on a business trip, establishing a new speed record. The aircraft carried Raytheon’s coo Bob Horowitz from Wichita to Norfolk, Virginia. A Navy C2 then flew Horowitz on to a US Navy aircraft carrier, where he presented commanding officer Captain Richard O’Hanlon with a specially created composite picture of the Premier I landing on an aircraft carrier, tailhook extended, ready to catch the third wire.
Horowitz said: “The flight was an opportunity to convert our published performance numbers into an enduring record. We also wanted a special way to thank the Navy for the opportunity to visit the USS Theodore Roosevelt, which launched the first strike in Operation Enduring Freedom. Captain O’Hanlon loved the picture.”
