TAG offers greater long-range choice
Geneva’s TAG Aviation has added a Challenger 601-3A to its fleet, to accompany the now-operational Global Express. Charter sales director Abner Tato told EBAN: “The 601 was made available to our charter customers just a week ago and it’s already flown to Africa. We’ve taken it under a management contract for an undisclosed customer, but it will be made widely available for charter.”

The company’s Global Express, belonging to TAG’s owner Mr. Ojjeh, has also just started flying commercially. “We had some pilot training to complete, but now everything is in order and the Global recently flew to China,” said Tato.

Meanwhile, the Swiss aviation authorities have officially approved TAG as a type-rating training organisation (TRTO). Since receiving approval in June 2002, the Geneva-based facility has been authorised to provide pilot training and deliver rating approval for Falcons, Citations, Challengers and Learjets, for its own charter and management crews as well as for third-party crews.
