Embraer has delivered a Legacy Executive to Saudi Arabia’s Sheikh Fahad Al Athel. The aircraft, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is being delivered under a distribution agreement through Scottsdale-based Swift Aviation Group, a distributor for the legacy in the Middle East.
Sheikh Fahad’s FAL Group owns a Boeing 727-100 and also operates a Boeing 737-200, a Challenger
601-3A and a Citation Excel. The Legacy will fly both domestically and internationally.
The aircraft is part of Fahad’s plan to extend and modernise his business operations.
Zaher Deir, general manager of SAMCO Aviation said: “With the Legacy, we will add state-of-the-art technology tour fleet. Embraer’s product has an outstanding cabin, larger luggage space, and is extremely versatile. From a maintenance perspective, it requires little or no ground support.”
Samuel Hill, Embraer’s executive vie president for the corporate aircraft market, said: “This is a landmark for Embraer not only in Saudi Arabia but in the entire region. With the Legacy we have the opportunity of size, speed, range and price represents a change in the way business jet owners are viewing the current options for fleet renewal.
