The first flight of Bombardier’s Global 5000 is expected on target in Spring 3003, with full type approval from the FAA, JAA and Transport Canada expected in the first quarter of 2004. The aircraft, launched in February 2003, is a shorter derivative of the Global Express designed to travel at Mach 0.89. It offers a maximum range of 4,800 nm at Mach 0.85.
