Air Charter Guide has launched CharterX 3.5, the first version of its online booking system designed to serve the needs of European charter operators and brokers. New features in CharterX 3.5 include provisions for cabotage (each country’s exclusive right to operate air traffic in its territory) and for variable landing fees and other costs for individual airports and aircraft in different countries.

Meara McLaughlin, vice president of Air Charter Guide’s online group, said: “This optimisation of our online system for the European charter industry was driven by feedback and feature requests from the hundreds of operators and brokers who are already using our system.

“These customers are using CharterX to find, price, post availability and book charters every day. Our online quoting software now delivers customised support for their specific operational and business practices.”

Key customers who were actively involved in defining version 3.5 include London Executive Aviation (UK), Occitania (France), Eurofly Services (Italy), Jet Connection Business Flight, Triple Alpha Luftfahrtgesellschaft, Vibro Air Flugservice (Germany) and Speedwings (Switzerland).

Air Charter Guide’s online system currently has 98 participating European-based broker companies, information on over 1,300 Europe-based aircraft and thousands of registered European operator contacts.

Charter operators supply real-time availability for 450 of the aircraft and all brokers and operators receive a daily report of European and international empty legs.
