Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation
Services (LBAS) and Feras Germany
have formed a strategic alliance
to better serve business aircraft
operators at Berlin Schoenefeld
Airport.
LBAS, which has been at
Schoenefeld for six years, says it has
ample big enough facility to provide
heavy maintenance for the entire
Bombardier range of aircraft
including Learjet, Challenger and
Global Express. Feras has recently
obtained a ground handling licence
at the airport.
The LBAS facility that houses the
Feras office is also the site of the
General Aviation Terminal for
Schoenefeld.
Therefore, both companies say
they are uniquely positioned rampside
to take care of their clients.
Maintenance clients of LBAS
can use Feras’s handling service,
plus inbound and outbound trip
support and Feras handling clients
now have a range of maintenance
support from LBAS.
LBAS and Feras have said they
plan on clients taking advantage
of the synergies of having both
high quality maintenance and
handling in Berlin.
LBAS will be making its lounge,
crew rest room and office and
meeting room facilities available
for Feras clients.
The facility already has a restroom
with recliner chairs, satellite
television and snacks and beverage
service, as well as a customer waiting
lounge and a wireless LAN hotspot
and internet terminal.
Andreas Kaden, managing
director of Lufthansa Bombardier
Aviation Services, said: “We have
built our facility to the highest
standard available in Europe and we
are proud that through the
cooperation with Feras, this will now
be available to other business aircraft
operators here in Berlin and also
improve the coverage for our
maintenance customers as well.”
