Italian air rescue companies Helitalia,

Team DRF and Airgreen are now

permanently responsible for

helicopter emergency medical

services (HEMS) in the Italian region

of Piedmont.

A five-year contract for HEMS

services has been approved by the

local government.

Helitalia and Airgreen are the only

helicopter operators providing HEMS

services in Piedmont. Their

helicopters, with complete medical

equipment onboard, are stationed at

five air rescue centres in Piedmont.

Helitalia operates the air rescue

centres in Alessandria and Novara

with two BK 117 helicopters.

Cooperation partner Airgreen flies its

missions with Bell 412 helicopters

from the rescue centres in Savigliano,

Borgosesia and Torino.
