Euroskylink’s air ambulance service is up and running
Coventry-based corporate airline Euroskylink, which operates the Piaggio P180 Avanti, has launched an air ambulance service under the brand name ‘Medevac Europe.’

air ambulance service under the

brand name ‘Medevac Europe.’

The customised aircraft features a

LifePort stretcher system and

also includes a range of industry

standard medical equipment,

including an AHT Baby Pod with

ventilator and Draeger 5400

Incubator for neonatal transfer.

managing director said: “The plane is

perfect for medical evacuation. With

its large cabin, 395 knots cruise

speed, a ceiling of 41,000 feet and the

ability to maintain sea level pressure

up to 24,000 feet, the P180 Avanti

provides a safe and comfortable

environment for the patient and

medical team.”

Medevac Europe saw its first

action over the new year break when

it transferred an emergency patient

from Leicester to Prestwick.
