Gulfstream and National Air Services
(NAS) have secured a firm order for
three G300 aircraft. The purchase,
which Gulfstream says amounts to
over $75 million, will be financed by
Arab Banking Corporation (ABC)
headquartered in Manama, Bahrain.
It will be guaranteed by the Export-
Import Bank of the United States (Ex-
Im), an independent federal
government that helps finance the
sale of US exports.
“NAS is a leader in private aviation
in the Middle East and we are pleased
to continue to support the company’s
growth, expanding our long-term
mutually beneficial relationship,”
stated Ghazi Abdul-Jawad, president
and chief executive of ABD. “We are
pleased to have this opportunity to
cooperate with Ex-Im on this
important transaction for both NAS
and Gulfstream.”
The mid-range G300 can fly up to
3,600 nautical miles, reach speeds of
up to Mach 0.88 and an altitude of
45,000 feet. It can accommodate up
to 19 passengers, but Gulfstream says
it is typically outfitted for 11 to 14
passengers. The NAS aircraft are
configured for 14 passengers.
