Gregg Air has taken the decision to

base its second Citation Ultra at

Farnborough Airport in Hampshire.

While the aircraft is based at TAG’s

new facilities, all bookings

and operations are being

handled from Gregg Air’s head office

at Oxford Airport.

“Basing this aircraft at

Farnborough has been our intention

for some time,” said Alex Durand,

Gregg Air managing director. Over the

last year, the company has made

approximately 15-20 flights per

month from Farnborough Airport.

Meanwhile, Gregg Air says the

Hawker 125-800 that it purchased at

the end of 2003 is currently in the

final stages of receiving its livery and

will be available for charter by early

February 2004.

Gregg Air managing director Alex

Durand commented on the aircraft:

“It has a similar cabin to the Citation

Excel, but provides enhanced

inflight comfort, including Airshow,

DVD player, satellite phone, a

separate galley and provision for hot

food to be served.

“We chose to fully refurbish it, as

many Hawkers in the charter market

are showing their age. Ours will look

like a new aircraft.”

The company states that the

additional range offered by the

aircraft provides it with the ability to

meet the growing demand for longer

range trips to Eastern Europe, Russia

and the Middle East.

Gregg Air’s fleet comprises a total

of seven Citations and one Hawker.
