Raytheon has delivered the first two

of seven King Air B200s destined for

pilot training at the UK’s RAF

Cranwell Military Air Academy as part

of the multi-activity contract and

multi-engine pilot training interim

solution managed by Serco Defence

and Aerospace.

Serco was awarded the contract in

June 2003 and says all seven

deliveries will be completed by

March 2004.

The contract introduces the King

Air series to RAF training, which

includes approximately 5,500 fleet

flying hours per year and 3,000

simulator hours.

Randy Groom, Beechcraft

president commented: “This has

been a great joint project

among Raytheon Aircraft, Serco

Defence and Aerospace and NAC

Aviation, who is our aircraft dealer in

Great Britain.”
