Swiss company offers first G550 for charter

Swiss company G5 Executive has

become the first operator to offer a

G550 for charter. The aircraft has

recently been certified by the Swiss

FOCA, as well as the US FAA DOT for

commercial charter.

“The aircraft has impressed

everyone who comes onboard,” said

ceo Peter Fried. “The cockpit is outof-

this-world and you feel like

you’re in a spaceship. For the

passengers, cabin space has

increased and the communication

and entertainment equipment is also

state-of-the-art. With about an hour

more range (6,750nm), at higher

speed, there is hardly any sector that

we cannot do nonstop.”

The company intends to continue

expansion of its long-range

capabilities over the next two

years and eventually, two more

GV/G550s will be added. It also states

that two other sales offices, in the

US and South America, will be

opened. Additionally, it claims as

soon as the demand allows it, its

Legacy fleet will be joined by a second

aircraft. It expects this to happen

this year. After several years of

cooperation with Avcon/ExecuJet for

its despatch, the company is now

ready to establish its own flight

despatch to serve its fleet.
