Jet Aviation’s European, Middle and Far Eastern aircraft management and charter divisions based in Zurich, Switzerland recently received the ‘Operational Excellence Award 2003’ by AIG Aviation.
“The primary objective of the award programme is to recognise our clients who have developed quality operational and safety procedures, which are reflected in their loss record and their commitment to the highest safety standards,” said Nick brown, senior vp and general manager regional aviation for AIG Europe.
“Jet Aviation maintains an exemplary proactive risk manage-ment philosophy that permeates every aspect of their operations.”
Award winners are selected by AIG Aviation’s safety engineering division in Atlanta from nominations put forward by the regional managers.
“We are proud of this prestigious award by AIG that has never previously been given to a business aviation service company in Europe,” said Jürg Reuthinger, senior vice president and general manager of the company’s EMEA aircraft management division. “And it is only the second time that a company outside the US was awarded. The safety of our customers and of their aircraft is our highest priority. We continuously develop and improve company safety and operational procedures and our carefully selected crews are trained according to the highest industry standards.”
