Jet Aviation has concentrated its parts sales activities into its Saarbrucken, Germany parts distribution centre. The centre serves third-party maintenance stations, aircraft manufacturers, aircraft operators, flight schools and flying clubs, in addition to Jet Aviation’s own maintenance facilities.
Newly-appointed director of material management and distribution Wolfgang Dillbaum, said: “The new parts centre will soon become one of the largest distributors of aircraft parts throughout Europe. Our sales team has online connections with most original equipment manufacturers and spare parts manufacturers to provide quick and accurate information on availability and prices,” said Dillbaum.
According to Dillbaum, the new parts distribution centre in Saarbrucken consists of 1,000 square metres of warehouse space and is equipped with the latest computer technology for parts procurement.
Johannes Turzer, vp of Jet Aviation Germany, said: “Our goal is to make Jet Aviation a one-stop shop for distribution customers and to provide them with shorter lead times and discounts on bulk orders. To build the distribution centre, we invested into the personnel, the storage infrastructure and new software.”
