Heads Up Technologies will provide the interior lighting system for Cessna’s Citation X and Citation Excel aircraft. The LED-based lighting system was featured in the Citation XLS mock-up in Cessna’s exhibit at this year’s NBAA Convention in Orlando.

The Heads Up system includes up-wash, down-wash, aisle lighting and toe-kick lighting elements, as well as power supplies and controllers.

“We are pleased to add the Citation X and Excel to the list of production aircraft using our LED lighting solutions,” said David Groos, senior vp of sales and marketing for Heads Up.

“We have worked closely with Cessna’s interior design and engineering groups to develop a lighting solution which meets the aesthetic requirements, engineering and technical objectives of the Citation X and Excel programmes.”
