The UK’s General Aviation Manufacturers & Traders Association (GAMTA) has proclaimed its maintenance workshop, held at Brill, October 14, to have been “highly successful.”

Said GAMTA chief executive Mark Wilson: “This was the largest single issue workshop GAMTA has ever held. The attendance reflects the importance of future regulatory changes to the general aviation maintenance community due to the creation of EASA and highlights the current uncertainty within the industry.”

GAMTA pledged to hold similar events in the future to ensure UK industry is the best prepared for the EASA era. Wilson, who sits on the EASA advisory board, noted: “EASA provides significant opportunities

for UK industry but early understanding is key to ensuring that our members benefit form the new regulatory environment.”
