Jet Aviation Kassel has been approved by the German LBA, a JAA member, as a design organisation (DOA) according to JAR 21 Subpart JA regulations. The DOA certificate covers design changes and modifications on avionics and instrument and electrical system installations.

The approval involves subsonic turbojets, turboprops and piston engine driven aircraft and allows the facility to design changes to type design, and to verify and demonstrate the compliance with the applicable airworthiness requirements to the authorities.
