AvFab has recently achieved JAA approval for its certified repair station, which specialises in the repair of aircraft interior components.
The company says the approval is significant in that it will allow European customers to return
their repaired or manufactured interior components back into service directly from AvFab’s facility, saving them time and money.
Such customers can now install their components and place AvFab’s JAA approval ticket in their logbooks with no additional approval steps to be taken.
“We are extremely happy about the JAA approval primarily because it will make the repair and return to service process much easier for our customers in Europe,” said AvFab’s G. R. Lowe.
The applicable aircraft for the company’s certified repair station services encompasses nearly every business piston, turbine and jet aircraft. AvFab built its repair station business around finding neglected or no-supported lines of interior parts and then developing repair and overhaul processes for those products.
