Bristow Helicopters recently held a ceremony to commemorate its fiftieth anniversary, presided by

Jean-François Bigay.

The celebration coincided with one of the company’s Super

Puma MK1s surpassing the 30,000 flight hour barrier.

A spokesperson said: “For

many years now, Bristow and Eurocopter have enjoyed a very

close relationship.

“The extensive experience gained by Bristow during its many flight hours in the extreme weather conditions of the North Sea has been precious for numerous Eurocopter development programmes – in particular for flight safety.”

The Bristow fleet is made up

of 104 aircraft, including 29

Super Pumas.
