An initial order for Grob’s four-seater turboprop G140TP has been signed. It has been purchased by an executive charter and aerobatics company based in southern Germany.
A spokesperson said: “This aircraft offers a more attractively priced alternative to traditional single-engine turboprops. Its aerodynamics make it a high-performance trainer, yet with a spacious cabin and a range of up to 2,130 kilometres, it is a fast-cruising aircraft for private and business flights as well.”
The G140TP can take off and land on short runways and grass fields 700 metres in length. Its first flight is scheduled for autumn 2003, with initial deliveries expected to start at the end of 2004.
