Avionics Mobile Services has obtained the first UK CAA AAN Certification of an RVSM compliant equipment installation on a BAC 1-11 aircraft.

Peter Robinson, engineering manager at the company, reports that the work was completed on schedule for an unnamed vip customer. “The programme started in January 2002 when we were approached by several BAC 1-11 owners who requested RVSM certification for their aircraft.

Meanwhile, the company has also been awarded JAR 21G production approval.

The scope of the approval covers a wide range of activities including: avionic parts for communication, voltage warning and entertainment systems and galley equipment.
