EADS Socata recently rolled out its first production TBM 700C2, the latest version of the high-speed turboprop, recently certified by
the FAA.
The six-passenger aircraft will be priced at $2.65 million.
A spokesperson said: “Through 12 years of refining the TBM, the C2 is the culmination of a project which started with the initial A version of 1990 followed by the TBM 700B with large door and optional pilot door in 1999, and the freighter version developed in 2001.
“Its most pronounced new feature is its strengthened airframe, allowing a maximum ramp weight of 7,428 pounds, instead of 6,613 pounds.
“This maximum takeoff weight increase enables the new version to deliver bigger payload/range performance to TBM operators.”
TBM 700C2 is available for delivery in all countries accepting FAR 23 Amendment 44 as a certification rule and all over the world for aircraft operated under US-registration. For customers from other countries, EADS Socata will offer the version C1.
This aircraft has the strengthened structure of the C2 without the 20g seats and the sturdier wheels
and tyres.
The spokesperson added: “The C1 is fast and lightweight, making it perfectly suited to short-haul routes and well tailored for European customers.”
A total of 230 TBM 700s have been delivered worldwide, of which 59 are registered in Europe.
