BGAD move pays off with superb show layout
The decision to move the Marshall Aerospace and EBAN-sponsored BGAD03 event into Hangar 1 at Cambridge City Airport has resulted in a strong demand for the best located stands.

The decision to move the Marshall Aerospace and EBAN-sponsored BGAD03 event into Hangar 1 at Cambridge City Airport has resulted in a strong demand for the best located stands.

The new show layout has an innovative floorplan with open spaces and few straight aisles. In addition, the entire show site is now closely contained making it one of the most visitor-friendly shows currently operating.

BGAD offers visitors around 60 key exhibitors from all sectors of business aviation, aircraft on display directly outside the exhibition, and seminars and meetings, all located within a short distance of each other.

Full catering will be available this year in the nearby airport restaurant, as well as an on-site canapé area, where in-flight catering specialists Thinking Food will be offering visitors tasty examples of their work.

As well as the recently-completed executive lounge at Cambridge City Airport and the newly established Marshall Executive Aviation charter operation, Marshall Aerospace is thrilled to be able to promote its capabilities as a premier Cessna Citation Service Centre.

“The Marshall Motor Group will also be displaying a selection of luxury cars at the show. “We are delighted to be hosting the Show for a second time and know from our recent experience at EBACE that there are some interesting developments taking place in business aviation right now, not least here at Marshall, which will make BGAD an extremely valuable day for visitors and exhibitors,” Andrew Pearce, sales manager for corporate aircraft at Marshall Aerospace,

told EBAN.

Although BGAD is designed as a one-day show, visitors from further afield may wish to take advantage of the excellent Quy Mill Hotel, close to the airport site, where a special Marshalls/BGAD corporate rate has been agreed.

“I am so pleased with the way these arrangements have come together,” BGAD organiser Mark Ranger said. “From the original concept, we wanted to make BGAD a pleasurable but productive day for all concerned.

“From the reaction we had to the first BGAD in 2001, we achieved that, but I am sure that this year’s will be even better.”

On the business side of BGAD will be an update from GAMTA operations consultant Captain John Robinson on compliance issues. There is also to be a BAUA meeting.

Exhibitors can take advantage of the outstanding BGAD package of only £495 for a 3 metre x 2 metre booth complete with everything that you may need.

There is ample room on the aircraft parking area at BGAD to display aircraft for sale, the fee for which is only £300. Companies taking a booth at BGAD may bring aircraft for display free of charge. There will be no landing fees for exhibiting aircraft and all aircraft for sale will be promoted to visitors before the show to maximise interest.

Those wishing to fly in to attend BGAD will enjoy half-price landing fees and no parking fees at Cambridge City Airport.

BGAD now has a mini website, where all the latest information is available. It can be accessed at www.marshallaerospace.com/bgad in the news section.
