Cessna says its Citation Mustang
is making its mark across a wide spectrum of the general aviation community.
Of the 300 plus orders taken since the aircraft’s introduction in September 2002, 50 per cent are from the US and the other half are from international customers.
“It’s really gratifying to see how broad the appeal of this aircraft is,” said vp of marketing Phil Michel.
“Although we continue to learn more about the flight experience
of our Mustang customers and
how they plan to use their
aeroplane, our profiles reveal that they certainly do not fit into any
one specific category.
“As we expected, many pilots are moving into the Mustang from single and multi-engine aircraft, but we also have many operators who are purchasing the Mustang as a stable mate to an existing fleet of light, medium and large business jets.”
Furthermore, Cessna’s Citation CJ2 has been awarded steep approach certification.
The CJ2 flight manual supplement was approved to meet steep approach requirements in April. Today, in excess of 155 CJ2s are in service with over 47,000 fleet hours.
