FBO lays down gauntlet in Denmark
ExecuJet Scandinavia has joined forces with Denmark’s Roskilde Airport Authority to open an FBO there. Said Roskilde airport service manager Allan Vest: “ExecuJet Scandinavia was chosen as our partner in this FBO joint venture as its expertise in handling, maintenance, valet and general business aircraft operations made it a perfect match to the other handling services offered by the airport, such as de-icing.

ExecuJet Scandinavia has joined forces with Denmark’s Roskilde Airport Authority to open an FBO there. Said Roskilde airport service manager Allan Vest: “ExecuJet Scandinavia was chosen as our partner in this FBO joint venture

as its expertise in handling, maintenance, valet and general business aircraft operations made

it a perfect match to the other handling services offered by the airport, such as de-icing.

“This joint venture means that together we can offer a full

service concept, and thus be a

proper alternative destination to Copenhagen Airport – Kastrup.”

ExecuJet Scandinavia md Henrik Burkal added: “We can handle up to Global Express and GV size no problem, as we have a GEX ourselves. We would encourage visitors to Copenhagen to use Roskilde

Airport due to its good security and low volume of scheduled traffic, making it easy to transit the Copenhagen area.

“Roskilde is located no more than 30 minutes’ drive from Copenhagen city centre, providing easy access

via great road connection to the Oresund Region (with its bridge connecting to Sweden) and, for

that matter, to any other part

of Scandinavia.

“Together with the airport’s logistics, these conditions will further minimise the down-time

of the aircraft; hence the cust-

omers may concentrate on the real core of their visit.”

In further news, ExecuJet Scandinavia has established a new operating satellite base at Linköping City Airport in central Sweden. The city boasts its own university, big business and industry, as well as a world-famous science park. Burkal said: “Linköping was a natural choice for us based on the local business infrastructure and the minimum of regular airline service.”

Initially ExecuJet will base one charter aircraft – a Learjet 45 – at Linköping Airport. Second only

to Denmark in Scandinavia,

Sweden’s installed base of

business jets currently totals 28, distributed throughout the country’s major centres.
