The UK’s General Aviation Manufacturers & Trade Association (GAMTA) has announced the appointment of Mark Wilson as its new chief executive. Wilson takes over the post from Graham Forbes, who after ten years with the association, is moving on to take over as head of personnel licensing at the CAA.
The current md of Britten-Norman, Wilson has been active in GAMTA as a member for a number of years and was project manager of the association’s New Generation GA Aero Engines Project.
In announcing the appointment, GAMTA chairman David Antrobus said: “Mark’s arrival will herald a new era in our history. We expect him to build on our past successes and carry our industry forward, especially in response to international and European changes, such as those brought about by the recently-formed European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
