ACE 2026 - The home of global charter.
The bimonthly news publication for aviation professionals.
The Volvo Car Corporation has joined Air Partner’s list of motor industry clients. The contract, secured by broker Julia Griggs, involved organising a series of 16 flights from all over Europe into the South of France, where more than 200 international motoring journalists put the latest S60R and V70R models through their paces.
A Boeing 737-600 flew into Le Castellet in Provence, which recently underwent extensive modernisation and refurbishment. The aircraft, which was used throughout, was the largest ever to have touched down at the provincial location. Departures took off from London Stansted, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Munich, Vienna, Paris, Antwerp and Milan, with some guests having travelled
on connecting flights from as far
as Japan and the US. Only 30 passengers travelled on the 102-seat aircraft at any one time, affording maximum comfort.
Although Air Partner has worked for Volvo Cars UK for several
years, this is the first time the company has won charter business from the Swedish car manufacturer out of its home town.
