FBO is appointed at Gloucestershire Airport
Executive Aviation Service has been appointed as the FBO for Gloucestershire Airport in the UK. Md Gordon Griffiths said: “Since the airport exceeded its targets last year, business has continued to grow at the airport. In fact, there was so much new business and such an increase in aircraft movements that we really needed to offer a dedicated FBO service for our customers.”

The launch of the FBO coincided with an influx of business for the Cheltenham Gold Cup horseracing event. The airport received an additional 260 aircraft during the Cheltenham week.

The FBO is situated in a newly built facility very close to the

main runway. As aircraft arrive, they are parked adjacent to the FBO

for added privacy and security. Aircraft can be handled up to GV size, while other services include passenger handling, flight planning, customs and immigration, aircraft cleaning, catering, ramp parking

and hangarage. Line maintenance

for Citation and Hawker 125 aircraft can be arranged along with

transfers, limousines, car hire and hotel accommodation.

EAS has a charter fleet including two Citations and a Bell JetRanger, with a third aircraft due to join in the Spring. The company also operates a Beechcraft King Air 350 under a management contract.

EAS is also a type rating training organisation for Citation aircraft

and will shortly be able to offer the service for Beechcraft King Air

aircraft as well.

The influx of businesses locating to Gloucester has led the

airport to erect new hangars

and refurbish others. Planning permission is also being sought for further hangars. Resident aircraft

currently include a GV,

HS-125s, Falcons, Citations and Beechcraft. Griffiths added: “We anticipate an increase in interest from business jet operators keen to take advantage of the airport’s location and facilities.”
