PDG Helicopters is reporting a growth in business following its takeover of Dublin-based Irish Helicopters last year. The company is also in negotiations to become a certified service centre in Ireland for Eurocopter aircraft.
Irish Helicopters’ operations include the maintenance of lighthouses around the Irish coast for the Commissioners for Irish Lights and pipeline patrols on mainline networks for Bord Gais. Additionally, the company’s fleet is providing helicopter support to remote islands for the North Western Health Board and carrying out power line inspections and emergency support for Electricity Supply Board International (ESBI).
PDG is currently trialling the gyro-stabilised thermal imaging camera system, available on the market through ESBI.
