Bombardier has expanded its European maintenance services by opening two new sites. Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services GmbH (LBAS) has begun providing factory service for Learjet 60 and Challenger aircraft at a satellite location at Rhein-Main Airport in Frankfurt. Challenger operators can also take their aircraft to Metro Business Aviation at London Stansted Airport, which is now a Challenger authorised service facility.

Around 230 Bombardier business jets are currently based throughout Europe. “The Frankfurt site is an

ideal location for this first step beyond our headquarters located at Berlin Schönefeld Airport. Frankfurt is a central business destination in Germany and Rhein-Main Airport is among the continent’s busiest airport and major airline hubs,” said a spokesperson.

The LBAS facility is JAA 145 certified to provide line maintenance, including 300-hour inspections for the Lear 60 and 400-hour inspections for the Challenger 604.
