Celebrations as BBJ operator is selected by Airbus for A319 corporate shuttle work
PrivatAir celebrated its 25th anniversary at a party held at Christies Auction House in London with the news that Airbus has appointed the Swiss company to run a corporate shuttle service for staff between its European production sites.

PrivatAir celebrated its 25th anniversary at a party held at Christies Auction House in London with the news that Airbus has appointed the Swiss company to run a corporate shuttle service for staff between its European production sites.

Starting in April 2003, PrivatAir will fly Airbus employees and executives between Toulouse, Hamburg and Filton/Broughton in the UK. The routes will be served five days a week, Monday to Friday.

Two brand new Airbus A319’s fitted with leather seats and featuring business class service will be used for this shuttle, which is being operated on a turnkey ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) basis.

“Our shuttle service provides enormous flexibility, security and professionalism and is a viable economic option for the right number of passengers,” said Greg Thomas, coo PrivatAir Group. “With this business shuttle running five times a week, we will offer Airbus employees direct and more convenient access to their four main production sites in Europe.”

PrivatAir says it has recognised a growing demand among corporations to move employees quickly between bases, and the company is able to supply shuttle services that meet any trip criteria.

“We are delighted that our first opportunity to become an Airbus operator has resulted in us flying Airbus people, between Airbus sites,” concluded Greg.

There were over 400 guests at the anniversary party, including numerous celebrities. The event was hosted by AJM International, the publishers of the PrivatAir magazine.
