An ultra-long-range Gulfstream V (GV) has completed an international flight covering four continents in a 22-hour period. The GV, owned by G5 Executive AG, a Zurich-based private jet charter company, took off with five passengers from Washington DC.
The aircraft flew nonstop to Moscow, where the passengers disembarked.
It then continued its journey to Zurich, refuelled and a new flight crew boarded for the next leg of the journey - a nonstop trip to Denver. In total, the GV covered 10,334 miles in 21 hours, 52 minutes, an average speed of .83 Mach.
Peter Fried, G5 Executive’s chairman and ceo said: “Our reputation is based on how reliably, quickly and comfortably we can transport people to distant cities.
“The GV meets our expectations with its outstanding performance and it meets our customers' in-
cabin needs in terms of comfort and functionality. It serves our business well.”
