Honeywell has been selected to provide avionics systems for the G300 and G500. The company will supply its Primus Epic integrated avionics system for the PlaneView cockpit for the G500 and its SPZ-8400 avionics system for the G300. “Both of these cockpits offer Gulfstream operators reliable and proven technology that decrease pilot workload, enhance situational awareness and make flying safer,” said John Uczekaj, general manager for general aviation avionics.
The Honeywell SPZ-8400 integrated avionics system for the G300 features six 8-by-8-inch full colour displays, digital flight control, NZ-2000 flight management system with performance management and dual inertial reference systems.
Based on Honeywell’s Primus Epic avionics system, the G500 PlaneView cockpit features four multi-function, flat-panel liquid crystal display units offering a 35 per cent increase in display over previous systems. The system also provides the functionality for the integrated navigation system which displays moving map with terrain, and airport symbols with runway orientation.
