Part exchange leaves Aero-Dienst with Lear 45 for sale

Germany’s Aero-Dienst has just taken delivery of a Lear 45, which has immediately been offered for resale. The company is a Learjet dealer and accepted the older serial number 45 in part exchange for a brand new one.

“It’s been on sale for around three weeks and although the market is extremely slow, I have had interest for the aircraft.

“The price is attractive and it's been very well maintained, with only one previous owner. The 45

has only been privately flown, but it is certified for public transport,” said sales and marketing manager Armin Hoehnemann.

Aero-Dienst admitted that the market for new aircraft was also slow, but the company didn’t have to drop below the list price to sell. The older Lear will be offered on the worldwide market.

“We have to look all around Europe and all around the world for potential buyers. Of course this aircraft fits well into the European market because it’s JAA certified, but nevertheless 75 per cent of business jets fly in the US, so that is obviously the biggest market,” said Hoehnemann.

The company is also involved in Bombardier’s Flexjet programme. “The relationship is going very well and we’re enjoying it.

“We have three aircraft currently involved in the programme and the flight hours are going well,” said Hoehnemann. Aero-Dienst offers a Lear 31A, a Challenger 604 and a King Air 300 for ad-hoc charter, all of which are leased through other companies.
