ACE 2026 - The home of global charter.
The bimonthly news publication for aviation professionals.
In the first two weeks of availability, some 25 per cent of the available booth space at BGAD 03 - the UK Business & General Aviation Day - has been reserved.
“I am delighted that interest in the BGAD concept remains high,” said organiser Mark Ranger,” and what is even more important to me is that most of these reservations have been made by companies who took part in the first BGAD in June 1991.”
Presented at Cambridge City airport on Thursday July 10, 2003, in association with Marshall Aerospace, BGAD 03 will combine all of the elements normally associated with a three-day show, but offers them in a single day. An exhibition area, static aircraft display and interesting seminars take place during BGAD making for an enjoyable day out and an excellent opportunity to meet key suppliers and network with industry colleagues.
Exhibitors are surprised by the low cost of the BGAD stands, where an all-inclusive package costs just under £500 - with no unforeseen extras. “There are so many hidden charges associated with taking space at a show, from the obvious accommodation costs, through the extras that appear for things like electricity to the invisible costs of having staff away from their desks for a number of days,” added Ranger. “With BGAD there is no pre-show set up, you simply turn up on the day and do business!”
BGAD evolved out of the thought that many companies find it hard to justify attending one of the international three-day shows, such as NBAA and EBACE, either because they simply find the costs prohibitive, or because their business tends to be too regional. The first event was widely praised as achieving all of it's pre-stated aims and with an audience in excess of 500, provided good value for money for the exhibitors.
The Business Aircraft Users Association (BAUA) has indicated its intention to hold a meeting during BGAD, and a seminar is being arranged to update aircraft owners and operators of aircraft compliance issues. There will be more seminars - details will be released as soon as they are available.
Admission to BGAD is free of charge and entry will be by visitor leaflets which will be distributed in issues of EBAN leading up to the show and will also be given to their key clients by exhibitors at BGAD.
