Midlands-based executive charter and airfreight specialist Atlantic Express has taken delivery of an Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia aircraft. Chartered from a German company, it is capable of carrying a payload of up to 3.5 tonnes at a cruising speed of 555 kilometres per hour.
Atlantic Express is planning further aircraft acquisitions as it continues to expand. Its fleet, along with the recent addition of the Brasilia, includes a Fairchild Metro III and two Reims Cessna F406s.
Deputy ceo Angela Prosser said: “Coming up to the busiest period of the year in the ad-hoc charter market, the Brasilia has arrived with perfect timing.”
Kevin Perry, chief executive of Atlantic Express added: “We have been evaluating the Brasilia for quite some time now and feel that it is the natural progression for our current fleet.”
