Lufthansa has selected a Blended Winglet equipped PrivatAir BBJ for its new business class-only airline service between Dusseldorf, Germany and Newark, New Jersey.

Lufthansa has selected a Blended Winglet equipped PrivatAir BBJ for its new business class-only airline service between Dusseldorf, Germany and Newark, New Jersey.

PrivatAir says the winglet, manufactured by Aviation Partners Boeing (APB), does more than just save fuel.

It claims that the aircraft can take off with extra payload and climb faster, with quieter operation and reduced engine emissions than an aircraft without winglets.
