The first forward fuselage for Bombardier’s Global 5000 has arrived at the company’s Toronto facility. Manufactured in Belfast, it is the first component to be shipped to the final assembly line.

The Global 5000 can fly non-stop from continental Europe to central North America at Mach 0.85 with eight passengers and three crew.

Type certification from the JAA is on target for the first quarter of 2004, with the first aircraft due to

enter corporate service at the end of that year.
