The AB139 helicopter programme broke new ground at the end of June when the first production AB139 took to the sky in Vergiate, Italy.
While the first production aircraft is in flight test, the second production unit is in final assembly and the third has been loaded to the assembly line.
The first AB139 flight took place on February 3, 2001, while Italian ENAC and EAA certification is planned for early 2003.
Agusta says its final assembly line in Vergiate is on course to fulfil customer delivery commitments starting in 2003.
