Lufthansa Technik recently delivered its seventh customised vip Boeing 747. The company received the aircraft in January 2001 and has entirely customised the interior for a private, undisclosed customer from the Middle East.

The company has also revealed the possibility of moving into the FBO market. Senior vice president

of marketing and sales, Dr. Hans Schmitz, said: “The FBO concept is being considered because our customers are requesting it.” Although no plans have been announced as yet, the company expects to know by the end of the year which other areas it will branch into.
