The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) is to introduce a new procedure to reduce the heavy drain on its resources caused by its active involvement in planning or operational issues relating to UK flying sites.
Anyone seeking help or advice is now asked to request a basic information pack, which will be sent at no cost to the enquirer. If further help is sought, AOPA asks for the return of a completed application form, which will enable a site file to be opened avoiding the likelihood of confusion, says the Association.
Beyond the initial first-aid stage, AOPA says that professional help may be available on a modest consultancy basis.
