The wing-mate of the first production CJ2, serial number 003, has been accomplished ahead of the development and certification schedule for the CJ2. Cessna vice chairman Gary Hay said: "We are eager to get the aeroplane in front of our customers and solicit their feedback. CJ2 demonstrations are currently scheduled to begin in just over nine months."\rCessna says that two CJ2s are currently active in the certification programme. The CJ2 prototype has accumulated nearly 400 hours since its first flight in April 1999. A second production conformed CJ2, serial number 001, accomplished its first flight on October 15 and is now dedicated to autopilot certification. The other development CJ2, production serial number 002, will join the certification programme in mid-December.\rCessna has secured nearly 125 orders for the CJ2; full type certification is expected in May 2000 with deliveries to follow in the fourth quarter.
