Improved DC generator for Learjets from CRS
Corporate Rotable and Supply (CRS), in collaboration with Auxilec, has made available a brushless DC generator for Lear 35, 36 and 55 series aircraft. CRS will hold the STC for A3579-000, the new generator. The generator is said to be fully compatible with the existing Learjet electrical systems, and comes with a two-year warranty and a 3,000-hour time between overhaul (TBO), which will provide the operator with almost three times more flying than the current Bendix/Allied Signal generator. According to CRS, similarly designed equipment has logged 100,000 fleet hours on the Falcon 2000 with no confirmed premature removals.
