Show debut for EADS at ILA2000
The ILA2000 Berlin-Brandenburg international aerospace exhibition has been scheduled for June 6-12, 2000, at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport. Interest will focus on the new family of Fairchild Dornier regional jets, and helicopters will also feature strongly, with Eurocopter and Bell present. The subject of unmanned aircraft will be dealt with in detail; according to the show's organisers, ILA '98 was the first trade show to demonstrate an unmanned aircraft in flight.

The ILA2000 Berlin-Brandenburg international aerospace exhibition has been scheduled for June 6-12, 2000, at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport. \rInterest will focus on the new family of Fairchild Dornier regional jets, and helicopters will also feature strongly, with Eurocopter and Bell present. The subject of unmanned aircraft will be dealt with in detail; according to the show's organisers, ILA '98 was the first trade show to demonstrate an unmanned aircraft in flight.\rThe largest exhibitor at ILA2000, making its first appearance at any trade fair, will be EADS, formed by the merger of DaimlerChrysler Aerospace and Aerospatiale Matra of France. \rSouth Africa and Ireland will be represented for the first time, and Romania returns to ILA with a combined display. Russia in particular will be a major exhibitor. 46,000 square metres of display space is planned to meet demand, more than twice the area of ILA '92. Admission will be restricted to trade visitors for the first four days of the exhibition. The opening ceremony will be attended by Chancellor Gerhard Schröder.\rILA2000 will be open daily from 10am to 6pm. The cost of a trade visitor's ticket will be DM55.
