The Cabair Group has purchased the Aviators Flying School based at Southend Airport. Aviators will be renamed Southend School of Flying and will receive investment this year, Cabair says. \rEBAN spoke to Paul Forster, joint chief executive of Cabair, about the changes the purchase will bring to Southend: "All our ground schools have a standard branding, so we will be bringing that school up to the same standard as our others, in terms of decor, furniture and a WSI weather system.\r"In terms of aircraft, any member of a Cabair flying school has access to any of the aircraft we operate. On a Friday night the skies around London are busy with Cabair aircraft going in all directions. We position whatever's required at whatever school."\rCabair operates schools through-out the south east of England, at Redhill, Biggin Hill, Denham, Blackbushe, Cranfield, Bournemouth and at their headquarters in Elstree. With a fleet of 140 light planes and helicopters, Cabair claims to be the largest flight training organisation in Europe, and it is extending its pilot training syllabus through a partnership with Florida-based Orlando Flight Training.
