Aero Services Executive in France has added a Falcon 50 and Falcon 10 to its owned and managed fleet taking its total aircraft line-up to 10. The company now touts itself among the largest operators of charter aircraft at Le Bourget, having recorded a 20 per cent increase in flight hours in 1999.\rSpokesman Steve Gulvin told EBAN: "The Falcon 50 belongs to a pharmaceutical company which has decided to base its aircraft with us. Obviously, having seen the work that we do with our existing Falcon 50s, we were a natural choice.\r"The reasons behind choosing the Falcon 10 are twofold. Firstly, it's a nice aircraft capable of excellent short-haul work around Europe and secondly, we have our own maintenance, spare parts and stock for both these aircraft. It's logical that we continue with a similar type of aircraft."\rWhile Gulvin says a comfortable destination for the Falcon 10 might be Paris-Athens or Paris-Istanbul, some clients have flown the aircraft as far afield as the Middle East, with one or two tech stops.\rMeanwhile, Aero Services Handling has recently installed a direct link with EuroControl's Central Flow Management Unit (CFMU) in Brussels. "This will allow us to better co-ordinate ATC slot restrictions, by instantly identifying problem areas and taking the appropriate action to either improve on, or even eliminate the slot itself, without the need to get on the telephone to EuroControl each time." said Steve Gulvin. "Further-more, we will be offering this service free to all our clients using our FBO."
