NetJets Europe fractional aircraft owners and passengers will now receive MedAire's MedLink worldwide services, at no extra cost.\rStaff will receive medical training in case of an inflight emergency; they will also have access to a round-the-clock emergency line which puts them in contact with a qualified doctor. NetJet's aircraft will be fitted with enhanced first-aid kits, and passengers will get advice on immunisations and potential health risks at their destinations.\rMedAire's programme is already standard for members of Executive Jet's US fractional ownership members. "No one expects an illness to hit them while travelling," said MedAire president Joan Sullivan Garrett. "The fact is that in 1999, our doctors logged nearly 5,000 calls helping crews manage inflight medical incidents."\rExecutive Jet currently operates 15 aircraft in Europe, and says it intends to add 10 more by the end of the year. "Our real growth is spurred by the mid-size Citation VII and Hawker 800XP, and the large cabin Falcon 2000," said Richard Santulli, ceo of Executive Jet. "Europeans have demonstrated the desire to have the greater range and cabin comfort of these three aircraft."
