In an effort to secure investment from north American and British institutions, Warrior (Aero-Marine) Ltd is to provide prospective customers who invest in the programme with preferential purchase opportunities and stock in the company.\rVouchers towards tradable production slots with face values in excess of $150,000 are being offered. The investments will be held in secure accounts and will remain untouched until funds to complete the first full-size aircraft are in place. Deposits on subsequent production slots will also be accepted, Warrior says.\rA one-fifth scale free-flying model of the new six-seat light amphibious aircraft will be on display at "Sun'n Fun" in Florida from April 9-15, the first of a series of air show visits planned, according to Warrior. James Labouchere, instigator and chief architect of the Centaur, will also be present.\r"Purchase enquiries have already been received from a range of prospective customers," said a spokesperson for the company. "These include both private and commercial operators of boats, helicopters, landplanes and seaplanes. The largest prospective market concentration remains in north America, hence the manufacturing focus and Warrior's efforts to raise the manufacturing participation in this region." \rEBAN reported in December that Warrior was frustrated with the lack of investment by British companies, and that initiatives to encourage US investors would be forthcoming. David Verrill has been appointed vp of the company and is the business development manager for north America. \rWarrior has also published a website (www.centaurseaplane.com) to inform interested parties about the Centaur.
