David Ogilvy retires as AOPA chairman
David Ogilvy is to retire as chairman of the Aircraft Owners and Pilot's Association (AOPA) of the UK, and of the British Light Aviation Centre (BLAC), on April 1. George Done will take over the chairmanship. Ogilvy is the longest serving member of the BLAC board and was involved in the organisation's founding in 1966. He was awarded the OBE in 1996 for 'services to aviation'. Done is also a BLAC director and has recently retired from City University, London, where he was professor of aeronautics.
